Developing a deeper faith

Building stronger relationships

Making wiser choices

What We’re All About

The mission of PCC:Kids is simple…

Make Disciples Starting In Prescott

Everything we do in PCC:Kids is geared towards the same goal as the overall church and it comes  directly from the commands of Jesus found in Matthew 28:19-20, where He said:
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

How do we do this?

We do this through a fun and energetic hour where everything is geared toward making Christ-Centered kids and families by making wiser choices, building stronger relationships and developing a deeper faith. It all starts with a huge desire to make the hour great, but more importantly, set you and other family members up for success the rest of the week as you continue the conversation from Sunday.
Check out Our Curriculum and The Family Hub to see how you can continue the conversation throughout the week!

Early Childhood

Our Nursery is for little ones from birth to 24 months. Much of the hour is spent playing with our wonderful volunteers and other little friends in a safe and comfortable environment for their age and ability. Our volunteers provides a simple song to sing while changing a diaper or giving a cuddle, simple Bible stories, and some tactile and developmental play.

2’s & 3’s

Our 2’s & 3’s class provides purposeful & engaging play as well building structure each week from a craft, worship, and Bible stories that teach our three simple truths.

PreK & K

In our PreK & K class, we build on the previous structure of the 2’s & 3’s and add more leader-led activities that are both engaging and fun and help to reinforce the teaching. Children gather together to worship through energetic songs with fun dance moves and to hear a Bible story that teaches kids three simple truths.

The Three Simple Truths

Each age & stage of PCC:Kids teaches three basic truths through the Bible stories, worship songs and activities. For Early Childhood, those three simple—but powerful—truths are:
God made me
God loves me
Jesus wants to be my friend forever

In our elementary environment for our first through fourth graders, each Sunday is based on Luke 2:52: “Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature and in favor in the eyes of God and man.”
The hour is designed to provoke discovery and invite kids into a new understanding of how to grow in relationship with Jesus. The curriculum focuses on 150 Key Bible stories, 4 Faith Skills and 30 Life Applications.

The Three Simple Truths

Each age & stage of PCC:Kids teaches three basic truths through the Bible stories and activities. For our Elementary age, those three simple, but powerful truths are:
I need to make the wise choice
I can trust God no matter what
I should treat others the way I want to be treated
Quarantine Activities
Families, are your kids feeling cooped up yet? Are YOU feeling cooped up yet?
We know that this season is trying and difficult and we know that social media is throwing thing after thing at you to keep your kids busy and active. We’ll post some things here and there, but our goal isn’t to add to the noise. Instead, we’ve compiled a list of activities all in one place. Some are at home activities and some get you *safely* out of the house.
Use them if you’d like, disregard them if they add to your chaos.
If you choose to use them, do one or two each day or pick one to do at the same time each day over the course of the week. However you choose to use these, we pray that they are helpful to you during this season as you choose to engage your kids, deepen your relationships with them, and lead them towards Jesus!

Geocaching is an outdoor recreational activity, in which participants use a Global Positioning System receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called “geocaches” or “caches”, at specific locations marked by coordinates all over the world. Click the link, download the app, and go find some stuff!

Photo Scavenger Hunt

A Photo Scavenger Hunt is an activity that involves groups finding interesting things and capturing them using a camera. We’d love to see them, so post your album to your Facebook page and tag PCC:Kids at Prescott Christian Church (@PCCKidsAZ).

Virtual Tours

Jump right into a national park, museum, zoo or aquarium right from the comfort of your couch!

Visit A Theme Park

Head to Disney, SeaWorld or LegoLand without the long car ride, long lines, and expensive amenities! You can even hop on any of the rides! Search YouTube for most any ride from your favorite theme parks or a park you’ve yet to visit.

Prayer Journal

Start a prayer journal. Depending on age, your kids can write or draw things they are thankful for, people they are praying for, or things they are fearing. Have your kids spend around 10 minutes journaling their prayers and then spend time with them praying through it. Do this daily.

Serving Opportunities

Turn chores into serving opportunities. Read stories like John 13:1-17 or verses like Matthew 20:28 with your kids and then ask your kids how they can serve around the house. Give them as many prompts as you’d like.

Talk about Jesus

Have your kids FaceTime family and friends and allow them to talk all about what they are learning about Jesus!

Meal Time Prayers

Allow your children to say the prayer at meal time. Ask them to pick three things they are thankful for and then let them pray about those things and a blessing over the meal.

PCC:Kids Content

Teach your kids through the weekly remote content. This doesn’t have to happen at the same time as the livestream service (let them sit in it with you). Do the kids content Sunday afternoon or set a morning each week to do it together. The content is set up for you, the parent & spiritual leader of your children, to lead your child through it.

We are living through history right now. Handwritten, typed, photographed, or drawn…record day-to-day events, thoughts, feelings, and activities over the next few weeks. Interview your kids, and let your kids interview you. We will be sharing these events with generations to come! Help your kids create a tangible, primary source for their own history.

Painting & Drawing

Find items in your house to paint (the classic bowl of fruit!), draw what you see out your window or head into nature and paint or draw what catches your eye.

Virtual Travel

Take this rare opportunity to travel around the world from the comfort of your living room. Discover facts about different countries, cultures, and people through books or websites. Decorate the living room to resemble a Hawaiian luau, make grass skirts out of construction paper, and eat pineapple. Have your kids create their own country and culture, and dress up as they think the people in their country would.

Learn Something New

We all have so much time on our hands right now. What an opportunity to learn new skills, talents and abilities! Have an instrument lying around collecting dust? Dust it off, search Google or YouTube for simple lessons, and learn it. Ever wanted to cook or bake? Grab your parent, a book of recipes, and get cooking! Make and serve your family a gourmet, 4-course meal! There’s so many new things we could learn right now. ¡Aprender un nuevo lenguaje! (That says “Learn a new language!” in Spanish) Check out the link below for a list of new things to learn for all ages.

As long as the trails are open, head to Thumb Butte, to a lake, or your favorite spot.

New to bikes? Learn to ride! Been riding a while? Family bike ride!

Find an exercise routine online and get active as a family. Make your kids laugh really hard by playing some 90’s Jazzercise videos (maybe even have everyone dress the bit!)!

Play games that get you moving! Games like Social Distancing Duck Duck Goose or Freeze Tag.

Dance Party

Put on some high-energy dance music and pull off your favorite dance moves. Teach your kids your best moves—the sprinkler, the shopping cart and more! Add some fun and make it a FREEZE Dance Party by randomly pressing pause and freezing.

Our Curriculum

At PCC:Kids we “think orange.”

If yellow represents the light of Jesus and the church in the world, and red represents the love of family, we want to come alongside you and join together to make a difference (orange).

Our goal within PCC:Kids is to inspire, encourage, and equip you as a parent to be the spiritual leader in your child’s life, knowing if we work together, that bond will be even greater. It brings us even more joy knowing grandparents and older siblings can get in on the action, too!

We hope you enjoy our church services knowing your child is in a safe and fun environment with qualified, consistent, and background-checked coaches and volunteers.
